The ACI NE Ohio Chapter invites you to join us on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at 11:00am at the Cement Masons Local 404 Training Center for a presentation on Apprenticeship Training & Development and the International Apprenticeship Contest.
Presentation Detail:
This meeting will highlight the exceptional level of skill development delivered by Cement Masons Local 404, both to its members and to the broader community. We also intend to showcase their achievements on the international stage, including the recent OPCMIA International Apprentice Contest, held during the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, showcases the highest level of skill and craftsmanship among plasterer and cement mason apprentices nationwide. This year, the event was especially noteworthy as one of our apprentices earned first place, demonstrating exceptional mastery and dedication to the trade. This annual competition continues to highlight the strength, talent, and bright future of our industry.




---Mr. Waylon Sladick, Instructor Cement Masons Local 404 JATC, Waylon is the current Director on the NEO ACI Chapter and will be instructing students in the Local 404 Apprenticeship Program on various ACI techniques and standards in the concrete industry.
---Mr. Nicola (Nick) Demonte is the Cement Mason Coordinator for the OPCMIA International Training Fund, with more than 30 years of experience in the trade. A second-generation Cement Mason and longtime member of Local Union 404 in Cleveland, Ohio, he has been a dedicated union member for over three decades.
